企业要提高竞争力，企业的信息化建设是必由之路，信息化已成为增强竞争力、提升利润以及实现跨越式发展的必由之路，而ERP作为企业信息化的核心环节，所发挥的效益已经获得企业界的验证和政府的大力推崇。伴随着WTO的加入以及企业信息化的飞速发展，企业资源计划在我国获得了迅速的发展，企业资源计划体现了当今世界上最先进的企业管理理论，并提供了企业信息化集成的最佳方案。它将企业的物流、设备、方法、信息和时间等各项资源进行综合平衡和充分考虑，最大限度地利用企业现有的资源取得最大的经理效益。针对国内ERP实施现状和存在的问题，本文从ERP的概念和核心思想、发展历程开始阐述，介绍了国内ERP的应用现状和软件市场情况，ERP系统实施的特征，ERP项目实施的软件选型、实施培训、数据准备等实施的前期准备工作，提出了ERP系统实施的组织管理模式项目管理，对项目管理的计划管理、风险管理、团队管理、成本和质量管理作了简单的介绍，最后对ERP在中国的应用和发展进行了展望。
