2009年11月15日晚，美国总统奥巴马抵达上海，首次访华。16日就中美关系问题在上海科技馆发表演讲，并与来自复旦大学、同济大学、上海交通大学等中国青年对话。幽默的奥巴在演讲请还特意请教美国驻上海使馆的大使洪博培上海话的“你好”怎么说，然后现学现用，以一句“侬好”开始演讲，颇为有趣。他对中国青年的英语印象深刻，并且承认自己的中文不及听众的英文好。对话过程中，中国学生就中美关系、城市交流、美国政府的对华政策、台湾问题等领域提问，显示了上海大学生开阔的视野和胸襟。r
