近些年来，中国的经济得到了迅速的发展，开始加入更多的世界贸易活动，因此，中国人与外国人的语言交流变的越来越频繁。颜色习语，作为一种特殊的语言，它是文化的结晶，蕴含着丰富的文化内涵。在跨文化交际中，为避免一些不必要的文化冲突及误解，该文章主要讨论了习语的定义，分类，习语出现的原因及颜色习语所反映的不同文化和影响来帮助那些外国语言学习者在学习及贸易活动过程中逐渐提高他们的跨文化交际能力，从而保持中西方文化的多样性。总之，颜色习语在跨文化交际中发挥着重要作用，并丰富着世界的语言。
