摘要
随着世界经济的迅猛发展和现代科学技术的不断进步，物流业作为当今社会的一个新兴行业，正在全球范围内高速发展。在国际上物流与供应链管理已经成为了评估一个国家经济发展水平和综合国力的重要手段。可见物流业也国民经济与社会发展中所处的重要地位。然而目前物流业在我国还处于起步阶段，尤其是在管理与信息系统配套设施的建设方面，与发达国家相比，存在一定的距离。近年来，随着连锁商业的发展，配送中心的建设受到重视，特别是连锁企业自建配送中心的积极性很高。进入90年代以来，随着社会主义市场经济的确立，出现了物流配送。但由于种种原因，力度不够，没有深入发展下去。这些固然与当时体制和认识有关，更重要的原因是当时市场经济正处于启动阶段，因而制约了物流配送的发展建设。本文从介绍中外物流企业的发展状况入手，并以宅急送物流配送公司为例，分析物流企业营销和库存管理，并进行库存管理子系统的分析与设计。
