在网络技术迅速发展以及信息交流频繁的今天，网络应用已经渗透到人类社会的各个角落。在中、小型城市的市民，对各条公交路线的信息不清楚或掌握得不准确。城市交通出现拥堵现象，而公共交通与其它交通方式相比具有人均占用道路少、能源消耗低、运输成本低、污染相对较小、客运量大，运送效率高等优点，它是解决城市交通拥堵等交通问题的首选策略，本设计主要的目的就是通过公交查询以及旅游信息查询，实现中心控、快捷更新的查询方式等等，方便本地居民查询相关信息。本系统在设计方面采用JSP技术BS模式，同时使用JSP技术进行基本页面的设计与功能实现，后台数据库选用SQLServer2005数据库。本系统的设计实施为新闻发布系统。
