要
近年来，随着计算机科学技术的发展，特别是网络技术的发展，高校规模的扩大和人数的增多，对网络的需求越来越大，对上网速度的要求越来越高，对业务的需求迅速增长，如语音、图像、视频等多媒体数字业务。需入网的结点迅速增加，因此网络的结构更复杂，对设备性能的要求更高，链路速度更快。建设一个基于多业务、复杂的校园网络系统，其投资规模是非常庞大的，需要一种有效的手段对校园网进行规划、设计、并实现。通过数学建模的方法过于复杂，根据经验进行规划设计的方法不可靠，不适应日益增长的网络需求，利用网络仿真软件来对网络模型进行建模并仿真便成了必然的选择。本文的主要研究任务，是通过OPNET仿真软件，对我国一般大学校园网的网络结构进行建模，模拟网络行为，对关键参数进行收集，分析，并在原有模型上添加网络结点及应用，再进行仿真，分析，对比，得出改进设计方案是可行性。本文的研究对校园网的规划、设计、网络建模都具有一定的指导意义，可以提高网络设计的科学性，缩短网络设计周期，降低校园网网络的投资风险。最后，对本文进行了总结，同时对未来的工作进行设想和展望。
