中国汽车主减速器产业是紧随桑塔纳等合资项目的国产化配套战略成长起来的，发展时间不长。相比跨过公司，我国汽车主减速器企业多年来定位于汽车集团内部配套或服务于地方区域市场，国内竞争不充分，发展明显滞后于整车。主要表现在以下几个方面：一是市场竞争不充分，产业集中度低，企业规模效益普遍不高，不能适应零部件业规模化、低成本的发展要求。二是受体系供应链条的限制，不同地区的主减速器供应体系之间的供应链互相不交叉。三是主减速器供应以外资或合资企业为主，本土企业的专业化水平不高，产品技术含量低。
